Two new albums released

The Co-operative funeralcare band is pleased to announce the release of two new albums available as digital downloads from both iTunes and Amazon.

The first album entitled 'Vintage Co' has been remastered by Broadnib Music and released as a tribute to the late Bram Thompson.

This album comprises of two 1957 BBC Radio broadcasts. Bram was a member of the then Scottish Champions who later went on to claim 2nd prize at the Nationals in 1958.

A great opportunity to compare the top bands of then to today for the bargain price of £2.49.

The second album which has been named 'Good Losers' comprises of seven of the bands best live test-piece performances over the last 25 years which unfortunately found no favour with the adjudicators.

The following test-pieces make up the album:

Dances and Arias - European Championships 1989
Montreux Wind Dances - European Championships 2001
Harrison's Dream - European Championships 2001
Theme and Variations on the Enigma - Nationals 2003
Rienzi - Scottish 2005
Vienna Nights - British Open 2006
Titan's Progress - Scottish Open 2009

Interestingly the 1989 performance of Dances and Arias is the only losing performance to be released on the European Highlights CD in favour of the winning performance. An excellent selection of music available for £5.99.

The band are delighted to be able to share even more of our back catalogue of recordings with the brass band community and hope you enjoy the music. Happy Listening!
